Roll up! Roll up!

18 Mar

If you haven’t already been to Circus in Covent Garden, then I highly recommend it!! On my first official night out with the Penguins crew, we were treated to fabulous food, drinks and entertainment; all from a lovely venue in the heart of town.

We went with the sharing menu as there was about 15 of us all together. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasted fantastic, especially the fillet steak, black cod and chicken and chilli roast dumplings! But what made this place extra special was that in between courses, there was an awesome range of performances…..

Our table was a sort of catwalk/runway, and once we’d finished a course the runway would house an amazing performance ranging from some 30’s Charleston Dancers, to a hoopla girl, a drag act (singing Amy Winehouse songs – perfectly!) and my favourite….. a very toned and sculpted chain aerial acrobat…. it took every effort in my body not to touch him….

You can rent Circus out for events, it’s capacity is 300 for reception and 140 for dinner. Highly recommend it for something a bit different in Central London! They have quite a strict dress code and they won’t accept hen or stag nights, which I think adds to the atmosphere of the place. Everyone there adores the place and is wowed by it’s innovative approach – so you get respectful crowds instead of drunk groups causing trouble!!

Overall, a really great evening where the wine flowed, the entertainment stunned and the company was ideal. If you haven’t been there before DEFINITELY make the effort to go!
